We are all human. Fallible, unique, imperfect, full of possibilities, emotional, messy, creative, constantly changing, deserving of love and respect. Humans.

Graduate student at Central Methodist University Master of Science in Clinical Counseling, Developmental Transformations Level 1

I know that every individual is one-of-a-kind, and what works for one person may not for the next. Because of this, I like to meet my clients where they are on their life journey and utilize several modalities, adapted and personalized for each client. I work with young and older adults to find and walk each person’s unique path towards healing, growth, and recovery.

Hi, I’m Roxann and I’m a student, intern, advocate, healing healer, constantly learning, gamer, nerd, artist, imperfect, recovering perfectionist, neurodivergent, fun, empathetic, creative human. I currently study at Central Methodist University and expect to graduate with an MS in Clinical Counseling in 2022. I am also a Level-1 DvTist. I currently work as a mental health therapy intern at College Bound St. Louis, helping adolescents and young adults with concerns ranging from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress management, coping skills, processing trauma, grief, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, suicidal ideation, and more. Using an eclectic approach that often incorporates sandtray, DvT, expressive arts, person-centered, with a sprinkling of mindfulness, I hope to be able to walk beside you on your journey.

I first discovered DvT and the power of non-traditional therapies (i.e. drama therapy, art therapy, sandtray/sandplay, etc.) while doing my own trauma work that had appeared in my life as ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, perfectionism and panic attacks mixed in with insomnia. Finding a new way to talk about my experiences, express the emotions that I was terrified of, and reconnect to my body, was life changing (as cliché as that may sound). My goal is to facilitate a similar sense of healing with my clients
